What this article is about
This article explains how to raise a region-specific IDT query and what information to include.
Who this is for
Doctors in training, receiving regions, outgoing regions and trusts involved in an IDT.
What you need to know
- General application queries should be raised through the national IDT support route.
- Local teams can usually only advise on local placement arrangements after transfer information has been issued.
- If your query relates to an approved transfer, include enough information for the team to identify your case.
- Do not send sensitive information unless it is needed and requested.
What to do
When raising an IDT query, include your full name, GMC number or professional registration number if applicable, specialty and training level, current training region, requested or approved receiving region, application window if known, whether you have received a conditional offer, and a clear summary of your query.
If this does not work
If your query cannot be answered locally, you may be redirected to the national IDT route or to your current region.
Who to contact
Use the IDT query route on the PGMDE Support Portal. If you have already received local contact following an approved transfer, respond through that route.
